I deleted my guy because I did not like it and i really like the mesmer primary. Is it really all that great as a primary profession

i was thinking mesmer/ranger

but if mesmer isn't all that good as primary then ranger/mesmer.

Well... between a Mesmer and a Ranger, all you get as a Mesmer primary is 1 more pip of energy regeneration, 5 more energy, slightly enhanced spell-casting speed, and weaker armour. If you give us more information on what your role is going to be, then we'll have an easier time helping you make up your mind, but the final decision should be up to you.

Well, what do you want to do with this toon? Do you like the supporting role or do you need to be the guy who's soaked in blood after a fight? PvE, PvP or PvE then PvP after Ascension?

How high of a level was this toon before you deleted it? Sure a LVL10 Mesmer is a little under powered but a LVL20 in the right hands is a gift from god to a party!

I have played with a brillant Me/Mo in PvE. When I play a monk the sight of a Mesmer foe sends chills down my spine! One good Mesmer can destroy a Monk and quick!

Take a look at the spell lists, do the ranger/mesmer spells benefit one another for how you intend to play?
